Cccchanges

I will be the first to admit that I HATE change. Once I get in the habit or get comfortable with something, I hate even thinking about making a change.
Some examples:
{Example 1}
I CRIED at the beginning of each school year from elementary to high school (and let’s admit it, bawled like a baby when I went to college). I would wonder:
“would this year top last year?”
“Would I still be friends with the same people?”
“What if my teachers hate me?!?”
Needless to say, I’m a big ol’ baby.
{Example 2}
I had a bit of an anxiety attack when thinking about moving out of our apartment. Sure our place is small, old and does not have a washer/dryer or a back area for little Hannah to run around in (luckily we have a dog park right behind the complex) but this is our first HOME! I love it to no ends so the thought of leaving it, makes for an anxious Danielle.
{Example 3}
My sister gave us an AMAZING king bed but instead of basking in the large bed goodness, I convinced Jason to put the king bed in our spare room for guests Hannah and my clothes to enjoy because I could not bare the thought of not sleeping in our first bed. Crazy, right?
..................................
Now, before you all recommend that I see a psychiatrist (believe me, I’ve thought about it before too), I have come to the realization that change is GOOD. We need change to grow or else I would still be stuck in 1st grade with Mrs Creed as my teacher…but I’m sure I would be really good at cursive if that happened.
Anyways, there are some changes that are about to come in my life and for once, I am welcoming those changes with open arms! I’m excited to grow, experience something new and get out of my comfort zone. Hopefully I'll be able to update you all soon about these changes!

One Year Ago...

...I was putting on my perfect dress.

…I was surrounded by my best girls and Jason was with his best guys.

…My mom and I planned the perfect wedding day for Jason and me.

…I was walking down the aisle in my childhood church with my dad.

…My handsome groom was waiting at the end of the aisle.

…Pastor Jen gave the most beautiful and perfect sermon for us.

…We said our “I do’s”.

…We walked out of the church as Mr & Mrs Wagner with “Here Comes the Sun” by The Beatles playing.

…Two families became one.

…We danced to Adele’s “Make You Feel My Love”

...My brother dodged catching the garter.

…We danced the night away with family and friends.

…I married my best friend.

Happy one year anniversary, Jason! This has been one of the best years of my life and I am so looking forward to many more memories and years to come. I love you!

Obsessed.

TheBacheloretteDish

Is it bad that I am literally squirming in my seat at work because I have not seen last night’s episode of The Bachelorette yet?!?

What is wrong with me????
I am not a die-hard Bachelor/Bachelorette fan!
I have watched maybe 2 or 3 seasons in the 10 years it’s been on!
Maybe it’s because of him??
{Arie}

Or him??
{Sean}

Oooooorrrr him?!?
{Jef}

Not to be mean, but I’m not watching for him…
{Chris}
I will be squirming until I get to my TiVo & my couch to watch my these guys take Emily to their hometown.
#TeamSean and #TeamJef.....all. the. way.

Arch Enemy of Household Cleanliness

So my sister has this pup named Gidget (gidgy for short)….
As a puppy

….And this pup is a real cutie!

But, she was saved from Pet Land and we thiiink she might be an in-bred pup.
You see Gidgy is not the brightest tool in the tool shed.
Example: We let her outside to go potty and she comes inside and….goes potty on the floor. We think she has a vendetta against my dad (or does my dad have a vendetta again Gidgy?)
Either way, Gidgy and Dad aren’t the best of friends.
Yesterday, while I was focusing on some work… I got this email from my dad with subject line:

“Arch Enemy of Household Cleanliness”

And this was the photo attached……

With the photo caption “SheDevil”.

Gidgy has done it again. Her mission in life is to drive my dad crazy….and it’s working....

Monday...the not so "fun" Day

Ok, friends, I find Monday’s the hardest day to blog about. How am I supposed to share all of the joys of the weekend without boring my loyal readers?! There are so many things to sum up in one post! In a quest to find my blogging voice, I am going to use Monday’s to recap the top {five} parts of my weekend. So, here we go!
{one}
ComFest!  Each year, Columbus has its annual Community Festival and it is pretty much a big, peace/love/hippie/beer festival! There are so many eclectic people that go and not to mention, delicious fair food (mmm, fair fries!). It’s held in Goodale Park which is right by our apartment so it’s pretty convenient for us to go (not too convenient for those who have to drive though, parking is horrible). I would say Comfest is enjoyable for many people, but I understand that it’s not all. It is definitely something to go to at least once if you are in the Columbus area.
Comfest’s two slogans would be:
{Live Everyday the Comfest Way}
&
{Party with a Purpose}
My babe and me
The boys
Megan and I didn't get a picture because we were shoving our faces enjoying some fair fries and pulled pork sandwiches.
Jason and I also picked up some goodies while we were there! I did not take pictures of the goods…blogger fail! But I got a super cute Ohio t-shirt (I’ll show that sometime soon), we grabbed some treats for Hannah and got some organic candles from “Candles with a Cause”. They smell DIVINE!

{two}
Megan and I participated in “Run with the Pack” event I talked about here. Megan summed up our experience so check her blog out to see pics and learn more about how we got involved with “Run with the Pack” and “Pets without Parents”.
Us and our pups!
{three}
Have I mentioned how much I love Columbus? Here are some pics from this weekend. This is part of the reason why I love this city so much.

{four}
I was a pool rat this weekend, was a rat for a few hours on Saturday and then was a rat once again yesterday.
One of the biggest complaints I have about our apartment is that we have to use a community laundry room. If you think trying to get the motivation to do laundry when you have a washer/dryer in your house is impossible, try getting the motivation when you have to walk outside, to a community area AND pay for your least favorite chore. It is just the worst. My motivation to do this chore comes when:
A. I run out of undies (tmi?)
B. when I stare at my closet full of those clothes that I never wear but can’t seem to get rid of. (you alllll know what I’m talkin’ about)
Aaaand the newest motivation….
C. our apt pool is RIGHT next to the laundry room. I get to lay-out AND get shiz done?! SCORE! Not too shabby of a chore anymore….until fall/winter/spring hit. Then the chore begins to suck again.
{five}
Love me some True Blood! HBO has sucked me into yet another show. I just started watching True Blood last year (I know, I know, late to jump on the bandwagon) but I am loving it! It’s crazy, suspenseful and my SVU man, Detective Stabler, joined the cast this year and let’s just says, I’m not hating it. Watching True Blood is a great way to end my weekend and prepare me for the upcoming week that will probably suck me dry of life (j/k, just had to add that vampirish pun in there).

Overall, it was a great weekend and I’m already looking forward to the next (Kenny Chesney/Tim McGraw concert, here I come!!)

What did you do this weekend?!

That’s Funny Friday

I’m linking up with Audra from “A Little Bit of Rain” for some Friday funnies!

I can’t deny that I am a total TV and sitcom GEEK. I love anything from HBO’s new comedy Veep to my favorite, Parks and Rec. So for today’s “That’s Funny Friday”, I’m going to be sharing some of my favorite tv shows. Enjoy!
I LOVE the new HBO comedy Veep. It stars Julia Louis-Dreyfus as the VP of the USA. I like to think of her character as being loosely based on what the VP office would be like if Sarah Palin was running it....hilarious.

Parks and Rec is definitely one of my all time favorite shows. Every character is absolutely hysterical. Tom Haverford (Aziz Ansari) is my favorite character, here is a clip of his own language:

"Those are some Bone Thugs-N-Harmoniums, right here."

Cannot forget The Office (the Michael Scott days):

Probably my favorite scenes ever, that scene or the one where Jim wraps Dwight's desk for Christmas (below).

Interview Techniques 101
Aaaaand finally, Modern Family....

There are so many other great shows out there but those are just a few of my favorites. Hope you enjoyed and have a great weekend!
