What I'm Loving Wednesday

I'm loving...

that Buckeye football starts this Saturday! I am still super bummed and salty at the fact that my main man, Coach Jim Tressel, will not be on the sidelines but I am really looking forward to watching Luke Fickell win some games for our team! This is the first season I will be able to tailgate and enjoy watching the games but I will miss standing on the sidelines and being right next to the action! Go Bucks!!

I'm loving...

that life is starting to slow down a bit. For the past 6 months I have had something every. single. weekend. It has all been wonderful things filling up my time, like getting married, honeymooning, friend's weddings, ect. but I am ready for a weekend of nothing. That weekend won't come until mid-September but I am oh-so-ready for it!

I'm loving...

that I get to go back home for the weekend! My home is definitely here in Columbus but there is something about going back to my parent's house and enjoying some family time. And it doesn't hurt that the Canfield Fair is this weekend! It is definitely the biggest event in our town and I can't wait. I have never missed going to the fair and whether the hubby likes it or not, I will never miss it unless I am forced not to go. I'm ready for some fatty, greasy, delicious fair food mixed in with awkward run-ins with people from high school. Sounds like a good weekend to me!

Canfield Fair 2011 - August 31st through Labor Day

and finally...
I'm loving...

that we could hear the Incubus concert from out back porch last night! We couldn't really make out what the words to the songs were but we could hear the music which was really cool! It made me love living downtown even more!

Happy Hump Day everyone!

Tail Wagging Tuesday

DISCLAIMER: Hello, my name is Danielle and I am obsessed with my dog.

Now that we got that out of the way, I am following my best buddy Megan at It's Good To Be Queen and dedicating this post to my tail-wagging baby, Miss Hannah Banana Wagner. This week, I will share some of her funniest pictures that I love. Hannah has quite the personality so she takes some pretty cute and funny pictures! Take a look :)

This is Hannah in all of her begging glory. Hannah LOVES food and will give you the biggest puppy dog eyes to get what she wants. I caught her with her head ON the table begging for food. This was the look I got when I interrupted her. Total diva.

Like I said, Hannah has a lot of sass in her. She is totally mean mugging.
Miss Nanner jumped in the front seat during a card ride and I snapped this priceless picture of her. Don't worry folks, she has her puppy permit ;)
Hannah is really good with tricks and even does them without being asked. I like to think of those as times when she is really craving a treat. She gives high fives and dies, sometimes in a very dramatic way, when we go "bang-bang".

And finally, this is our little family. She is making the funniest face I have ever seen a dog make. All smiles for this little family :)

Music Monday

Since I am new to blogging, I've decided to start a new little thing where I share some of my favorite songs/artists each Monday. Music puts me in a good mood and since Monday's always seem to come too fast, music is something that can get me motivated and get my butt moving at work.

I can usually tell what kind of day it is going to be by what songs are played on the radio on my 15-20 minute drive to work. Today I heard some great music which made the morning drive to work a little more enjoyable. Here are a few of my favorites :)

Amos Lee - I have loved almost every song I have heard from Amos Lee. This song is called "Flower" and is beautiful. If you are interested in hearing more from Amos, listen to "Windows are Rolled Down" and "Arms of a Woman"

Sufjan Stevens - This song, "The Predatory Wasp of the Palisades Is Out", is my new obsession of the moment. I have heard Sufjan Stevens before but the hubby just introduced me to this song and it is absolutely BEAUTIFUL! Take a listen and I'm sure it will put you in a light-hearted good mood. More songs to check out for Sufjan: "Chicago" and "The One I Love".

The Beatles - The Beatles are one of my favorite groups ever. No matter what mood I'm in, this song, "Here Comes the Sun", will always put a smile on my face. And it doesn't hurt that the hubs and I walked hand in hand for the first time as husband and wife to this song after the ceremony :). Safe to say, this is my all-time favorite song.

I hope these songs/videos make your Monday a little bit more bearable.

Happy Wednesday!

First try at Pinteresting Wednesday! I recently started looking at pinterest and I am L.O.V.I.N.G it. Here are some of my favorites for the day!

google

I love these colors mixed together. I've recently come out of my "I only wear neutral colors" stage and I think this is a great outfit to explore combining different colors together!

I am definitely a fan of dresses with unique backs. I think the back can be one of the sexiest parts of a lady, so why not show it off!

ahhh, this is exactly where I would like to be right now. Relaxing by the water with my little Nanner by my side :)

have to get this shirt
Good for you! I'm not one of those people!

A great thing for me, and for everyone, to think about before they speak! The world would be a much kinder place if everyone did this.

Happy Hump Day everyone!

Friendship

God has blessed me with many amazing friends. From family, friends from home, and friends from school, I have had a chance to get to know and the pleasure of being friends with some pretty amazing people.

I guess the easiest way for me to describe what I think friendship is, is to make an analogy about it. My dad is a big fan of analogies and I think he passed that trait on to me (lucky you!) ha. Anyways, so I think of friendship as a highway. You have your smooth, easy parts of the highway that all you have to do is put on your cruise control, turn up the music and enjoy the ride. Then you have your rocky parts of the highway, where you have to sit up, buckle your seat belt, turn down the music and maneuver your way carefully down the road. Like all highways (and sometimes friendships), you have to choose which way to go and separate from a road you might have been on for a pretty long time and, not to mention, deal with the different obstacles that come with the journey. Is everyone still kind of following along with this obscure analogy?  Lol. But this past year, I have come to the realization that no friendship is the same and I can’t expect them to be. I have a lot of different circles of friends and I cherish each one for different reasons. Here are the groups in a nutshell.
Family – I’m lucky enough to have family members that I consider my best friends. My sister is my best friend. She can always make me laugh and I know she only wants the best for me. Even though we live close to 8 or 9 hours apart (car ride) we are closer than we have ever been. She has the funniest dry sense of humor and no matter what, I know we will always stick up for each other. Brandon is my big brotha. He has always been a role model of mine and continues to be. He just graduated law school and continues to amaze the family. He’s a pretty cool guy. My parents never raised me as their friend. They always said, “We’re not here to make you popular or to be your friend; we are here to be your parents.” I have always respected that but now that I am married and on my own, I like to think that we have more of a friendship based relationship. I still get the occasional talks about money and how I need to be a grown-up but I take those as words of advice and not lectures. My parents will always be my parents but they we will also be friends.
Jason- He is the best kind of friend you can have. He is loyal and is stuck with me for life. In my opinion, friendship is a key factor in a successful relationship. You spend each and every day with your husband/wife and you know some of the deepest thoughts and share some of God’s biggest gifts together. One of my favorite things about our relationship is our friendship. Jason makes some of the simplest tasks more enjoyable. Like running to the store or picking up food, I like it best when Jason is with me. Or watching TV, I hate watching our favorite shows alone. I would rather wait a week before watching a show than watch it alone. My favorite part about actually watching TV is reacting to it together, talking about the situations together or sharing a laugh together.
Like the wise words of Jack Johnson:
The In-Laws - I have also gained more friends since Jason and I met, his family. Jason has two wonderful sisters that I am lucky to also call them my sisters. Jacquelyn and Heather are two wonderful ladies. They are beautiful inside and out and have welcomed me into their family with open arms. Jason and his sisters have a deep and loving bond and I am lucky to get to see it. Along with Heather and Jacquelyn come Mitch and Andy, their significant others. They are really great guys and really love their ladies. This group of wonderful people are friends that I will have forever and I am very happy for that.
Hometown friends – My hometown friends are fabulous ladies. I’ve learned from them that you don’t need to see each other all the time or talk every day to remain best friends. Unfortunately, we only get to all be together a few times a year but those times we are together we truly cherish and enjoy. It’s like we never were apart when we all get back together. We share some really special times together as well. Each of us are going our separate ways and doing our own things but we know that no matter what, we support each other 100%. I love these girls to death and will always be best friends with them.

College friends – I have definitely learned a lot from these friendships. We have had some really great memories together but it was definitely time for us to go our separate ways. I really don’t know if I will stay in touch with a lot of these friends but I cherish what we had and hope that whatever they are doing, they will be happy.
My TEMmers and Clubbers– What a great group of ladies and gents. These are the people I spend my nights and weekends with, where I enjoy lots of laughs and memories, and where I go to share the highlights and lowlights of the day. We are a really close group of friends and I am so thankful to have them in my life. They have been with Jason and me since the beginning of our relationship and it’s great because Jason and I share this group of friends. It’s not a fight to figure out whose friends we are going to hang out with on the weekend or have to put up with someone we aren’t fond of. We all have a great time together and I love it. It also doesn’t hurt that my bff is marrying Jason’s bff ha.
These two pictures really desctibe our friendships as a group ha. And of course, there are a few very important TEMmers missing!
So to wrap this up, I have realized that friendships have their good and bad times and I can’t get down because of it. I have to keep on driving and hope that the government has paved the roads for an easy trip ahead ;). I need to value the friendships I have and let go of some of the friendships that I once had. There’s no room in my life to dwell about something that might never be again. I love each and every one of my friends and I am lucky to have them in my life.

Introducing...Mrs Wagner

After much time, thought, and consideration...I finally came up with a blog name and created my very first blog. Go me! I have love, love, loved, reading blogs after my bestie Megan (It's Good to be Queen) began hers a few months ago. So my first blog post will be a little bit about me!

So...Hi everyone! I am in my early 20's and just got married a liiiittle over a month ago. More about the wedding (and honeymoon) later!
(this is me and Mr Wagner, Hi!)

My new and fabulous husband is just wonderful. He makes me laugh all the time and is honestly one of the most caring and special people I have ever met. More on this special fella later...

I currently work at Veeam Software as the Americas Events Assistant. I plan regional events in the West Coast, Canada, and Latin America. It's a pretty fun and 'event'ful job. Ha, get it. ;)

Mr Wagner and I live in Downtown Columbus in the Victorian Village/Short North area. We absolutely LOVE it here. Mr Wagner and I have put a lot of T.L.C into our little home and we are very excited about it. Also, the location is great. We are just a short walk away from the Short North and Arena District. It is a really great place to start our life together, it's small but cozy ;).

I am originally from Canfield, OH (where?!?), it's right outside of Youngstown, OH and I loved growing up there. It is a smaller town and is filled with my great family and some wonderful friends. I really love it there but I am happy I ended up where I am.

I am a family girl. I love my family to death and really wish they lived closer to Columbus. My parents are really wonderful people and I love them very much. I have an older brother and sister and they have been great role models for me growing up. Mr Pauley just graduated law school and Ms Pauley lives in Maryland working for the government. They are two special people.

God has also bleased with a wonderful "In-Law" family. I am so fortunate to have these wonderful people in my life and I love them all!

An oldie but a good picture of the Zimmerman's, Wagner's, and (future) Youngberg's. My sis-in-law organized this picture for her Dad and Jessica as a Christmas gift. Not pictured: Jay and Jessica

Less than a year ago, we adopted the sweetest pup and we are so fortunate to have her in our life. Her name is Ms. Hannah B (for Banana) Wagner. We aren't exactly sure what she is but whatever she is, she is one gorgeous and sassy pup. She has many, many nicknames...Han-Banan, Naner, Hanner-Nanner, Nan, Schweet bayybayy, little butt-hole (the sass in her), and many, many more. The funny thing is, she answers to every single one of these names! She truly is a special pup and I love her so so so much! Check the picture out below and see if you can figure out what breeds are in the precious pup.

More about this sweet pup in a later post!

Onto my friends...I cannot express how much I love and value the friendships I have made in my 20+ years of life. I have some really awesome friends! I have kept in touch with many of my friends from home and have made some really great friends in Columbus. One thing is true: I love each and every friend and how unique each of them and our relationships together are.

Well, that is all from me for now! Thanks for reading!
